Ousala “ass hat” Aleem

Ousala “ass hat” Aleem as I will refer to him has made a successful business of filming violent crime and putting it on the internet. As I sat on my love seat last night watching The O'Reilly Factor I saw what I think is one of the most despicable misuses of “journalism” I’ve ever seen. This piece of garbage receives phone calls from criminals letting him know where to be so they can be filmed committing crime. He calls this journalism. I call it bull shit!

When pressed by the morality of the issue he simply replied “other people make money off of crime.” This may be true but not everyone is an accessory to the crime. This piece of shit actually knows what is going to happen before hand and feels no moral obligation to report it so the police can intervene. To me that’s crime number one! Second, they played footage of the guy actually getting into a car that had just been stolen to continue filming the crime in progress. To me, that makes him a clear accessory to the crime. He is knowingly getting into stolen property.

This human garbage should be put in jail for a very long time. Every crime that he uploads onto his website should result in a count of accessory. It’s been a long time since I’ve been seriously pissed off about what I see in the news but this is simply one of the worst things I’ve seen. This is a perfect example of a human being that brings absolutely nothing positive into society. These are the people that should be removed from our society.

There is a line between being a journalist and being part of the machine that will bring our society to its knees and I think Mr. Ass Hat’s time would be better spent stopping crime in his Crime riddled urban city than actually glorifying it for his own profit.

Sex Offender Websites

I’m sure that I will make enemies with this post but I feel that this is a hot topic that really centers itself on the core of what’s wrong with our county. Websites that give you the exact location of registered sex offenders are becoming very popular but for several different reasons.

Most people look at these sites so they can keep an eye on their neighbors which they feel will allow them to make every effort to keep their children safe. I can understand this thought process but I can’t validate it or use it in my own day to day life. This is my issue with protecting your children by having this knowledge. The people who follow the system and register know they are being watched and are obviously complying with their agreement to register in their area. The people who are the most dangerous are the ones you don’t know about. Statistics show that most child molesters are someone within the family circle or a close trusted friend of the family. Out side of that, the next majority are neighbors that you would tend to trust to watch your kids. So the people on the websites know they are there and the people who haven’t been convicted are looked at with a blind eye. All you are going to accomplish by knowing where these offenders live is paranoia. I keep a cautious eye on every person who interacts with my children. By doing this I feel I will help my children remain safer in the community.

The second reason for this site is to use it as a weapon. Here is my thought on that. I often say that a child molester should be exterminated upon sentencing. I can’t have my way so I’ve learned to understand that the people listed on these sites have paid their penalty and are complying with the law. We do not have a right as a law abiding society to single these people out, ridicule them and harass them into leaving. All you are doing is driving them into another community with more children. It’s a statistic impossibility that you can successfully drive away all of the known offenders in your area, let alone any of the unknown offenders.

Lastly it’s also important to understand that not every person on these sites is a child sex offender. Many of them have been found guilty of different levels of offense. A person gets a little tipsy at the X-Mas party and makes the wrong advance and ends up on a list. These sites don’t always lay out the rhyme and reason for the crime so it’s not fair for us to judge the severity of the crime with out own forced punishment.

I still think that any child offender should be exterminated but that isn’t going to happen so it’s important that you do more for your family and don’t be apathetic and lazy when it comes to protecting your children. Be wary of every person who comes into contact with your child. If you do this then obsessing over these sites won’t be necessary. Ultimately it won’t help you.

Bernie Ward and Child Porn

Given the extreme liberal views of the San Francisco media it’s likely that no one has heard of this story and I had to go to the conservative Fox News website to gain further details on it. The underlying issue with Bernie Ward is that he is a journalist who was arrested for accessing websites that knowingly contain child pornography. It sounds like an open and shut case. Surely the police can determine if your IP accessed specific sites. Well… yes they can.

However, Mr. Ward is not claiming innocence or that it wasn’t he who did it. He is claiming that he was writing a book about hypocrisy in America. What?? What does child porn have to do with the hypocrisy in America?

Here is the definition of hypocrisy “the false claim to or pretense of having admirable principles, beliefs, or feelings”

For as long as I’ve been alive, the U.S has had strict standards on what they feel is child porn or child endangerment. So, in order for there to be any hypocrisy there would need to be evidence that the people who write the laws are above the law and it would be widely accepted that those leaders would be allowed access to child porn without fear of prosecution. I’m sure things happen on a higher level than I can't conceive but I highly doubt that any member of Congress, the Senate or the judicial system would knowingly be allowed to practice such behavior without suffering the consequences. After all, this is the government not the diocese.

I add to this the question: “why would you need to access child porn to speak about hypocrisy?” If any high ranking member of the government was involved, I highly doubt it would be advertised on these sites. So, viewing the porn was not necessary even if the defense is legitimate. All this does is fuel the fire. The more page hits these sites get, the more material is posted. It’s simply supply and demand and it puts our children in danger.

I feel that Mr. Ward is looking for an easy way out under the guise of “journalism” and in this case it doesn’t add up. In best case scenario Mr. Ward made a terrible judgment call when accessing these sites and in worst case he needs to go away for a long time. Given the atmosphere in San Francisco I’m sure it will go under the rug and not be heard about again but for the sake of our children I feel that a conservative approach is best. When in doubt, (and in my eyes there is little doubt) lock them up and lose the key!

Show the world the book being written and then provide legitimate proof as to why you would need to access porn to write your book or accept that you are a sick man and reap the consequences. I hear convicts love guys like you in prison! Should be fun…

First Rise in teenage births since 1991… and it’s our fault people!

The trend in teenage birth rates has been declining since 1991 but in 2006 that trend went up 3% in the age group of 15-19 year old females. That’s 42 births per 1000 teens in that age group. That’s a staggering fact and one that is easy to explain in my eyes.

The phrase “abstinence” is not in a teenager’s vocabulary and whether it comes down to lack of education, peer pressure or just laziness, our children are having children at an alarming rate!

Somewhere as we grow into adults we forget the things we used to do and the feeling of out of control hormones so we think “my kid isn’t doing that, I taught them well.” You forget that you were doing it and if you weren’t you’ve put your head in the sand by thinking that your kids will do as you do. This isn’t the case and statistically the proof is in the pudding.

Before you raise the race, economic status or religion flag, most statistics will show that this isn’t one segment of the population. It’s a world wide epidemic and it’s up to modified thinking and modified parenting to stop it. Simply teaching abstinence in today’s schools, churches and family circles is not enough! Most churches will stick to planned parenting or abstinence as their main method of teaching adolescence about sex and most schools will give a distorted view and propagate THEIR agenda on your children so in my eyes, sex education belongs to the parent(s), not society.

So you have two options. Teach and preach nothing but abstinence and risk the chance of your child not growing up well adjusted, getting pregnant or even worse; contracting a life long or life threatening disease. Second, you can be a responsible, understanding and an open minded parent and understand that your children will make their own decisions, mistakes and learning experiences and educate them on abstinence, protection and then you can stress the value behind valuing their own bodies and making smart decisions about who they choose to be with.

Education begins in the home and that’s one thing the government cannot take away from us. Teach your children and lead by example. If you shelter them and make sex sound bad it will only enhance their curiosity and they will jump head first without being given the mental tools they need to make a smart decision.

The bottom line is: teens have always engaged in sexual activity and they always will. I’m not saying “give in and encourage your children to have sex.” I am simply saying that educating them is the key to limiting disease and pregnancy in teens. Teach them about sex, teach them to be responsible about sex and you’ll likely see a decline in the number of teens having sex.

School 1967 vs. School 2007

I didn’t write this but I wish I knew who did because they have a firm handle on what is wrong with our country today. I don’t make a habit of passing on E-mail trash but in this case I thought it was relevant for our times and thought everyone might get a laugh about it. I’m sure it’s in heavy E-mail rotation right now but hey, I thought it was funny and yet sadly very accurate.

Scenario: Jack goes quail hunting before school, pulls into school parking lot with shotgun in gun rack.
1967 - Vice principal comes over, looks at Jack's shotgun, goes to his car and gets his own shotgun to show Jack.
2007 - School goes into lockdown, the FBI is called, Jack is hauled off to jail and never sees his truck or gun again. Counselors are called in to assist traumatized students and teachers.

Scenario: Johnny and Mark get into a fistfight after school.
1967 - Crowd gathers. Mark wins. Johnny and Mark shake hands and end up buddies.
2007 - Police are called, SWAT team arrives and arrests Johnny and Mark. They are charged with assault and both are expelled even though Johnny started it.

Scenario: Jeffrey won't sit still in class, disrupts other students.
1967 - Jeffrey is sent to the principal's office and given a good paddling. Returns to class, sits still and does not disrupt class again.
2007 - Jeffrey is given huge doses of Ritalin. Becomes a zombie. Tested for ADD. School gets extra state funding because Jeffrey has a disability.

Scenario: Billy breaks a window in his neighbor's car and his Dad gives him a whipping with his belt.
1967 - Billy is more careful next time, grows up normal, goes to college, and becomes a successful businessman.
2007 - Billy's dad is arrested for child abuse. Billy is removed to foster care and joins a gang. State psychologist tells Billy's sister that she remembers being abused herself and their dad goes to prison. Billy's mom has an affair with the psychologist.

Scenario: Mark gets a headache and takes some Aspirin to school.
1967 - Mark shares Aspirin with the school principal out on the smoking dock.
2007 - Police are called and Mark is expelled from School for drug violations. His car is searched for drugs and weapons.

Scenario: Pedro fails high-school English.
1967 - Pedro goes to summer school, passes English, goes to college.
2007 - Pedro's cause is taken up by local human rights group. Newspaper articles appear nationally explaining that making English a requirement for graduation is racist. U.S. Civil Liberties Association files class action lawsuit against state school system and Pedro's English teacher. English is banned from core curriculum. Pedro is given his diploma anyway but ends up mowing lawns for a living because he cannot speak English.

Scenario: Johnny takes apart leftover Independence Day firecrackers, puts them in a model airplane paint bottle and blows up an anthill.
1967 - Ants die.
2007 - Homeland Security and the FBI are called and Johnny is charged with domestic terrorism. teams investigate parents, siblings are removed from the home, computers are confiscated, and Johnny's dad goes on a terror watch list and is never allowed to fly again.

Scenario: Johnny falls during recess and scrapes his knee. His teacher, Mary, finds him crying, and gives him a hug to comfort him.
1967 - Johnny soon feels better and goes back to playing.
2007 - Mary is accused of being a sexual predator and loses her job. She faces three years in federal prison. Johnny undergoes five years of therapy.

Foul language from children and respecting the elderly

While visiting family for the Thanksgiving holiday a peculiar conversation came up about children using curse words and the conversation took an interesting turn. I thought I’d share it to gain insight on what other’s think.

This is my take on it. I use the occasional curse word in my every day vocabulary and when in need of an expressive word I usually go to the old bag of tried and true blasphemous phrases. When it comes to my children the old phrase “do as I say and not as I do” just doesn’t work. I cannot expect my children to act any differently than I do so my feeling on the matter is this: if my kids smack their fingers with a hammer, I fully expect to here a curse word, just like they would hear from me. It’s acceptable in my household and it’s understood. After all, any word can be used in a negative and derogatory manner so in effect ANY word can be a curse word, not just the accepted vocabulary of Ozzy Osbourne.

However, there is a limit to my generosity and I draw this line at using this verbiage in a negative and disrespectful manner to other people. Therefore, I feel that I am teaching my kids when to use this type of language and when to show respect to others. My kid cannot call me a foul name out of anger because I wouldn’t disrespect them in that manner. Along with this, they are also being taught social acceptability which is something that most kids are not being taught by their parent. They understand that going into public with a ‘potty” mouth is not socially something they should do because it falls below the nominal level of respect that every person deserves.

Now this is where the debate grew interesting. I simply stated that I teach my children respect based on the respect they receive and not the age of the person they are dealing with. The offended member of my family (in their late 50’s and by no means the oldest in the conversation) stated that ALL elderly people deserve respect (presumably based solely on age.)

I take extreme objection to this misnomer and I politely advised that I don’t feel that elderly people deserve a blank pass in the respect department just because they are older than me. Let’s look at this example. My child is walking down the side walk and an elderly person knocks them to the side so they can pass by because they are in a hurry and what they are doing is surely more important than what my child is doing. Has that person shown any respect to my child? Absolutely not!

My child is being taught not to disrespect but to ignore and walk away from that person because they don’t deserve any more of my child’s life than they’ve already taken. After all, if a person disrespects another person then they don’t care what that person thinks anyway so getting in their face to show disrespect back will likely fall on uncaring ears.

Respect is given on a nominal level and then more is earned or taken away depending on the situation. There is a point when you walk away from a person disrespecting you and there is a time when you need to stand up and fight your fight. To me this is not a case of bravado. It’s a case of standing up for the way you should be treated. If my children learn to walk away from those who disrespect them and to stand up when needed then I feel that I’ve improved my case for father of the year!

I think the “blank check” mentality simply boils down to poor parenting. My way of teaching my children is involved, some what complicated and time consuming. The easy way out is to say “Everyone deserves respect son” because it takes no effort to say and requires no further instruction.

I welcome any feedback on this some what touchy topic.

Why do my tax dollars have to go to pay this idiots salary?

We have apparently resolved every possible issue with every health crisis in the known galaxy because acting (and I mean that loosely) Surgeon General Rear Admiral Steven K. Galson has decided to attack... yes Santa Claus.

World wide, Santa can't smoke, in Australia Santa can't say Ho, Ho, Ho and now in the U.S. Santa has a weight limit. Seriously, this has been taken to a whole new level of stupid!

I quote, "It's really important that the people who kids look up to as role models are in good shape, eating well and getting exercise. Santa is no different."

Mr. Galson clearly puts more value in the way a person looks than he does the way a person acts. Santa embodies what every person should be. The spirit of Santa gives to others and spreads cheer and a feeling of togetherness across the world. I personally think this personality trait is much more important than the fact that the average Santa weighs in at 250 lbs.

If we took the Surgeon General's advice, our children should be idolizing all of the perfectly built athletes that are filling their bodies with steroids or the "Hollywood" crowd that starve themselves to get that perfect look; just because they look healthy! It's absurd! There are the people our children shouldn't be looking up to.

If Santa were a real human being he would have a legitimate case against the government for having his human rights violated. He's being forced not to smoke by the government, he has no freedom of speech and now he is in danger of being banned from society because he is fat. All of these are restrictions of his fundamental right as a human being.

The fact that I have two blog posts about Santa is stupid in its own right but it's a great example of what is wrong with our government. Why is this guy even giving thought to Santa when the HIV crisis is at a all time high. You'd think he would be spending his time making sure all of the drugs on the market are safe. Oh yah, that's not really happening is it?
